2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2

My girlfriend watches a lot of Fox news which I don’t mind but I have noticed that the tone of our politicians and our political leaders have become angry each one claiming they are right and everyone else is wrong. Both parties, Republicans and Democrats, are guilty of this and I am sure if I pointed this out to them each would say the same thing “I am angry and I have to yell to be heard.” Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior did not always yell sure He did yell at all the vendors in the temple but who would not if they found their sanctuary turned into a marketplace. So now the United States is a country of politicians blaming people and other politicians and vice a versa. In this thought I am reminded of a segment in the Old Testament.
4 So all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah. 5 They said to him, “You are old, and your sons do not follow your ways; now appoint a king to lead us, such as all the other nations have.”
6 But when they said, “Give us a king to lead us,” this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the Lord. 7 And the Lord told him: “Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king. 1 Samuel 8:4-7
So the Israelites in effect told Samuel “everyone else has a king why can’t we?” God told Samuel they have rejected me as their king. I speculate that present day humankind is no different as those in the times of the Old Testament which would be before 1 A.D. Man always wanted power and wealth always has and always will this is mankinds legacy. Man always thinks he knows better than anyone else and that he is a better leader than anyone else as is evident in our present day society and seen in the political arena. The scripture below is the wisdom that we see and understand in hindsight.
22 For the Lord is our judge; the Lord is our lawgiver; the Lord is our king; he will save us. Isaiah 33:22
n this scripture Isaiah explains that God will judge us when we die and He gives us commandments, decrees, and regulations that we should follow to have a life filled with goodness and love. God is our king and He will save us from evil and we will have eternal life.
19 We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. 1 John 5:19
The evil one or satan has the ears of many people that do not follow Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior their hearts are filled with greed and conceit.
29 But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men. Acts 5:29
We should follow God’s commandments, decrees, and regulations and the Christian men that follow God’s commandments, decrees, and regulations. I cannot help but feel that our world would be a better place if we just follow God’s wisdom, goodness, and love.
17 From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17
Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior is going to return to our world and He will bring with Him God’s kingdom. It would be well for all people to prepare themselves for Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior return and to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior into your hearts and walk with goodness and love.
Remember:
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
God bless all that read this with His love, light, grace, mercy, and wisdom in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Revelation 22:21
