Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2Thessalonians 2
Prayer is one of the most important aspects of the Christian faith. Our first prayer and most important prayer is the prayer that we would be forgiven for all our sins and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
17 pray without ceasing, 1 Thessalonians 5:17
And
12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Romans 12:12
As Christians we are to pray without ceasing as the bible tells us to do. We should Rejoice in hope for their are many people that live with no hope and their days are filled dread and anxiety our hope comes from prayer knowing that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior hears our prayers. We should be patient in tribulation because when we pray to Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior who hears our prayers we know He will answer them maybe not the way we want or expect Him to but Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior will answer our prayers. No matter what happens we should be constant in prayer and 17 pray without ceasing.
2 Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2
We should always pray and we should always be thankful. Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and will bless us whether we realize it or not so we should always be thankful for the blessings He has given us and say so in prayer.
11 Now Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.” Luke 11:1
I like this scripture because it leads us straight into the Lord’s Prayer. Below is the response of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
And he said to them, “When you pray, say:
“Father, hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come.
3 Give us each day our daily bread,
4 and forgive us our sins,
for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us.
And lead us not into temptation.”
Luke 11:2-4
The above scripture and prayer takes less than 24 seconds to say so if you ever find yourself in a position when need help through prayer and have twenty five seconds to spare say the Lord’s Prayer.
If you are not a Christian then say this prayer below repent your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior followed by the Lord’s Prayer.
Dear Lord,
I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that don’t please you. I have lived my life for myself only. I am sorry and repent all my sins. I ask that you forgive me. I believe that you died on the cross for me to save me. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life; I give you my life to you. From this day forward help me to live every day for you and in a way that pleases you. I love you Lord and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you. Amen
