2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2
So last week I blogged moderately about love and decided to continue that topic this week. Let me start with the scripture below.
8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8
The above scripture is a self-explanatory statement. God is full of love and loves everyone whether you believe in God or not He still loves you. Then I decided to add the scripture below to further my point.
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
Again, God is full of love and loves everyone whether you believe in God or not He still loves you.
Many people will say that God does not exist because you cannot see or touch Him. For those people I present this the scripture below.
11 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2 For by it the people of old received their commendation. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. Hebrews 11:1-3
Therefore, it is by our faith that we believe in God.
For those that do not believe in God…show me love. I want to hold it in my hands I want to feel it and I want to see it. What color is love? Does it float or fly? Can I put it in a box or my dresser drawer? Is it bigger than a breadbox?
The scriptures below is the Christian response.
16 So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 1 John 4:16
and
19 We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19
The scriptures above really tie in nicely with my point here. In 1 John 4:16 John tell us that God is love and anyone that loves is with God and God is with them. You hear that you non-believers if you love you are with God and God is with you…Ha! We love because God loved us first so then God has loved everyone, because of that, we are all with God, and God is with us whether you believe it or not.
