Consider This…

Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2

I really like the Christian life because there is so much goodness, joy, fellowship and love. I formed the Christian Gaming Community because I wanted a place for fellow Christians to gather in safety from the secular people that chose to not to understand and more often assault Christians because they have faith. I got the idea from earlier times when I was in another Christian guild called “Jesus Freaks” that named themselves from a song sung by a Christian rock group called “DC Talk”.

This group contained young, mostly teenage, men that shared a common interest in a particular war game. I was the oldest in the guild and was chronically reminded of that by the guild leaders. Two year or three years later this large Christian guild fell into disarray after drama showed its ugly head. I want to add that some large gaming guilds/communities tend to fall apart when there is drama that appears within the leadership ranks and Jesus Freaks was not immune to it. Rather than evolving the community became divided and disbanded shortly afterwards. Jesus Freaks had a long run of about 3 years I would like to take a moment to brag at this point and go on record saying that the Christian Gaming Community has been around since 2007 and still going strong.

Therefore, the reason for this topic is that last Sunday evening, after the prayer meeting a member of the old Jesus Freaks guild, Hobbs, joined our discord. Hobbs and I talked a lot and reminisced and Hobbs is a kind young man and paid me great a complaint he said, “You were peaceful”. It was then that I realized something that I had not thought of before it is important that we always conduct ourselves as Christian leaders not just for the sake of the youth but also for everyone around us. Sometimes it is good to talk about our faith and our Christian leadership and other times it’s just good to lead by example. No matter what we are all part of the Christian body and are obligated by God’s commandments to teach and lead everyone as Christians.

24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.  Hebrews 10:24-25

Remember:

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

God bless all that read this with His love, light, grace, mercy, and wisdom. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Post script – I just finished this blog and it is 12:15 am on an early Tuesday morning. I have spent most of last week pondering what I would write about in this week’s blog. Thanks to our Heavenly Father God Almighty Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and to the Holy Spirit for their inspiration and many thanks to Hobbs for being an instrument in that inspiration…the talk was great too.
