2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2
I have just finished chapter 32 of the book of Exodus. So here’s the short version of the book of Exodus.
God performs many miraculous through Moses to convince the Pharaoh to release the Israelites.
God convinces Moses to lead the people if Israel out of Egypt.
Moses leads the Israelites out of Egypt into the wilderness and everyone complains excessively about it.
God and Moses have many discussions.
God provides bread and water to the Israelites.
God tells Moses to make the Tabernacle with specific plans and materials to be used.
Also tells how to make the priest garments
then tells Moses the duties of the priests.
And then writes the Ten Commandments in stone to give to the people of Israel while God and Moses are talking on Mount Sinai. But the people get restless because Moses has been gone to long talking to God so they convince Aaron to let them make a gold calf to worship to and this makes God REALLY mad.And that’s where I am at today.
This is from a previous chapter in the book of Exodus
Exodus 20:3-5
3 “You shall have no other gods before me.
4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me,
The above scriptures are the first three commandments of the Ten Commandments which makes it easy to understand why God got so mad at the people of Israel. This might sound a little crazy but is it wise to make our Heavenly Father God Almighty the very same God that created the heavens and the earth the God that breathed life into our bodies the God that created man and woman mad? I for one would not do such a thing but the world is full of people that would do so as seen in the book of Exodus and our present day world. God is very powerful and full of love and slow to anger but do not anger him. You will see why later. For now be safe and believe that God created all things even you and loves you.
