2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2
At the time of this writing I have just finished reading chapters 18 and 19 of the book of Leviticus. Probably one of the most popular scriptures is the found below.
22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination. Leviticus 18:22
Chapter 18 of the book of Leviticus is filled with sexual immorality that God does not want us to do and which is great wisdom. The above scripture refers specifically to homosexuality as an abomination. This scripture is popular because other Christians feel that people should not be committing such acts and use the bible as a point of source. What most people forget is that almost of the people who are gay are not Christian so it holds no valid point for them. And the 0.5 % that are Christians well I can’t explain that. There are a lot of things that we Christians are not suppose to do but there was a common statement throughout the book of Leviticus.
37 “‘Keep all my decrees and all my laws and follow them. I am the Lord.’” Leviticus 19:17
and
29 “‘Everyone who does any of these detestable things—such persons must be cut off from their people. 30 Keep my requirements and do not follow any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you came and do not defile yourselves with them. I am the Lord your God.’” Leviticus 18:29-30
Other people who are not of the Christian faith will say “no one tells me what to do” and there are Christians that do not follow God’s decree and commandments. God ask us to follow His commandments and decrees and they are not difficult to follow.
Remember:
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
God bless all that read this with His love, light, grace, mercy, and wisdom. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen
