Consider This…

Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2

In our gaming community there are many people from many aspects of the Christian faith we have Catholics, Methodists, and Baptists just to name a few and most follow the season of Lenten. Below is probably the most well known scripture of the season of Lent which is to be repenting of our sins, fasting, moderation, spiritual reflection and discipline and praying and then praying some more. Some feel the need to make sacrifices and give things up like smoking or drinking alcohol and or exercising moderation of those things.  It all pertains to what Christ Jesus did in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights fasting without food and praying unceasingly to our Heavenly Father God Almighty. In short Lent is the Christian season of spiritual preparation before Easter. The purpose of the Lenten season is to set aside a time of reflection on Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and to consider his suffering, his sacrifice, his life, death, burial, and resurrection.

12 “Yet even now,” declares the Lord,
    “return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;
13     and rend your hearts and not your garments.”
Return to the Lord your God,
    for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;
    and he relents over disaster.
14 Who knows whether he will not turn and relent,
    and leave a blessing behind him,
a grain offering and a drink offering
    for the Lord your God?
Joel2:12-14

Lent is a time to draw closer to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and grow in the Christian faith.

Remember:

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

God bless all that read this with His love, light, grace, mercy, and wisdom. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Revelation 22:21
