I am blogging about forgiveness because of my sister that has become abusive with me over the past eight months. So this blog is about that situation and how God answers prayers.
32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
Forgiveness is a huge part of the Christian faith and I say this from my experience. My youngest sister has taken to emotional abuse with me for unknown reasons although I speculate it is because I am taking care of my dad, who is in hospice, and not her. I prayed for many months and at first I prayed for protection later I realized I should be praying for guidance and wisdom. I was going to report my sister to adult protective services but God instructed me not to do so I didn’t.
21 Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times. Matthew 18:21-22
Months later as our dad lay in his bed quietly slipping away from this world my sister apologized and I accepted and we hugged as brother and sister. I was not angry or filled with hate I just wanted my loving sister back in my life and our Heavenly Father God Almighty answered those prayers.
Remember:
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
God bless all that read this with His love, light, grace, mercy, and wisdom. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
