Consider This…

Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2

I use to wonder where the terms “day” and “night” came from. Was it a derivative from an ancient language or terms that just stuck with humanity? Or the popular notion of our present day society that aliens had something to do with it. Or in today’s political arena there even might be a conspiracy theory describing its origin.

When I was a child I often wondered how the world or the universe was created. Then in high school I learned of the Big Bang theory. In my youth the internet did not exist but we had books and some households, like mine, had books called encyclopedias. Encyclopedias were s series of books , usually in alphabetical order, that contained  information of variety of topics such as history, geography, geology, various cultures, biology and astronomy just to name a few. I did a small amount of research, in my world small amount of research means reading a book and taking a page of notes. Whereas when I was in college I read several books and taken numerous pages of notes which at the time was moderate amount of research sufficient for a scientific journal. Apologies I do digress at times.

In my childhood and my youth I always believed that our Heavenly Father God Almighty, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and the Holy Spirit existed mostly because that is what our parents taught us.

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4

A Belgian Catholic priest named Georges Lemaitre (1894-1966) first formalized the initial Big Bang theory although many have contributed to its present day form. Georges Lemaitre was not only a Catholic priest but a mathematician, theoretical physicist, astronomer and professor of physics. It should be noted that the 1929 Hubble Law supports the Big Bang Theory.  Here is a man who believes in God and is a highly spiritual man but also a scientist.  Below is the scripture that contains the answers to the above questions.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day. Genesis 1:1-5

Here in the first five scriptures in the very beginning of the bible the above questions have been answered. First questions Number one and Number two God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night.  Wow from the beginning God called the light day and the darkness night…from the beginning.

The first sentence in the first chapter of the first book in the bible says:

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

God created the Universe and our world. The natural universe is the universe created by God we can speculate all we want on how it was created but it was by God’s hand that the universe is created. God has created lots of things and living creatures that we take for granted. A lot of people will speculate on their origin including life itself but it all comes down to…God created.

Remember:

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

God bless all that read this with His love, light, grace, mercy, and wisdom. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Revelation 22:21
