On behalf of the Christian Gaming Community I would like to say “Happy New Year to everyone and their families”.
11 These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. John 15:11
Every New Year someone somewhere makes a New Year resolution to lose weight, smoke less cigarettes if not quit smoking, or drink less alcohol if not quitting drinking alcohol or something that is beneficial for their own health and life. They are effectively trying to change to make their own life better…to be good. It is the same for Christians that follow the commandments, regulations, and decrees set in the bible. There Christians that believe Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior but they are still drama queens and gossipers and the likes. God knows that some people travel through the Christian journey with enthusiasm and great speed as others travel at a slower pace and sometimes with very little self confidence. Let me offer this scripture to those Christians and for all people everywhere.
10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
God is with everyone everywhere whether you believe or not. God is waiting for you, the non-believer, to repent your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. There is love and goodness in the Christian faith and that is what God wants you to have.
The Christian life is not always easy. Yes, the Ten Commandments are pretty sensible and easy to follow but there are 603 more commandments that we have to follow as well. Yes, we Christians do have our religious fanatics and religious lunatics but the number of religious fruits out numbers them. Some people think that Christians are “cultists” be honest now you guys got that from the Romans didn’t you.
Being a Christian is full of goodness, joy and compassion the willingness and love to help the poor and the sick. It is not about becoming rich but it is about becoming rich in wisdom and righteousness. I have heard many people that have asked, “Why can’t we live forever?” The answer is simple.
6 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
You just have to believe.
When someone accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, his or her life will be new.
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
Become a Christian
Repent your sins
Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior
Happy New Life
Happy New Year
