Consider This…

Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2Thessalonians 2

I live in the United States and in this country there is much anger and hate people that want to kill other people because…prejudice comes to mind but really they have no reason. Even some of our political leaders have chosen anger and hate as tools to express themselves. Greed and name calling is the new leadership. These are the days described in the book of Timothy as written by Paul described in the scripture below.

3 But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith. 2 Timothy 3:1-8

In the above scripture it become clear that people have left our Heavenly Father God Almighty wisdom, commandments, decrees, and regulations to follow their own desires. Below is a list that I created of the items found in the above scripture.

But understand this that in the last days there will come times of difficulty.

1)         For people will be lovers of self

2)      Lovers of money

3)      Proud

4)      Arrogant

5)      Abusive

6)      Disobedient to their parents

7)      Ungrateful

8)      Unholy

9)      Heartless

10)   Unappeasable

11)  Slanderous

12)  Without self-control

13)  Brutal

14)  Not loving good

15)  Treacherous

16)  Reckless

17)  Swollen with conceit

18)  Lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God

19)  Having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power.

Avoid such people.

Paul actually tells Timothy and all the Christians to Avoid such people…such wisdom. Those people who display these attributes are not good and certainly not of the Christian faith.

There is a lot of violence in the world today, with many people who are protecting those who have a history of committing violent crimes, human trafficking, and drug dealers, to name just a few. Some have come to the United States in hopes of starting a new life not necessarily a good life, but a life in the United States a place of money and wealth or so it appears to them. Some of these people say they are trying to start a good life of not wanting to commit crimes in true earnest. Others say they want to do good, but in the dark of the night they still continue doing those things that are evil. Many people believe that the evil doers want to be good and so evil’s deception begins its long winding road. Our Heavenly Father God Almighty knows of these people, the evil doers, and the people that believe the evil doers He speaks to the aforementioned people through scripture from Isaiah.

20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!  Isaiah 5:20 (ESV)

Translation: Regret and misfortune for those who believe that evil is good and good is evil. Here, darkness is evil and people will follow the darkness, thinking it is light. The last part of this scripture is self-evident, people will believe bad is good or bitter for sweet. Evil has the world in a chokehold, and there are those that think they are good but are not. Those of the Christian faith must stay strong and steadfast in our Heavenly Father God Almighty, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, and the Holy Spirit. It is in our faith that we will see and know what is evil and what is not.

Remember:

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

God bless all that read this with His love, light, grace, mercy, and wisdom in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Revelation 22:21
