Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2Thessalonians 2
I blogged that this is God’s world, but evil is here too, and we should follow God, not the evil one or Satan. We have all faced temptation, and all have sinned…
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23
Because…
19 We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. 1 John 5:19
Many people know that God is goodness and that the evil one is its opposite, and almost all will choose goodness. Who would not want good things in their life or for their family? However, some people believe God does not exist for one reason or another. Some do not believe because no one can scientifically prove God’s existence. Others do not believe because they think a person has innate knowledge of good and evil, then commits evil acts, and says they are good when, in fact, they are not.
19 Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, Acts 3:19
In the scripture above, “repent of your sins” means confessing your sins to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and accepting Him as your Lord and Savior; then, through forgiveness, He will blot them out.
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17
The scripture above is simple: when we confess our sins and accept Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, we will be made clean through His forgiveness. As a result, we will be cleansed of all our sins and made new, acting in love, forgiveness, wisdom, and righteousness.
21 Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times. Matthew 18:21-22
The scripture above tells us that we, as Christians, are to forgive everyone around us. That can be difficult, since anger gets in the way of forgiveness. Personally, I believe that if we count all the times we have forgiven someone, then we are not forgiving. We should lose count of those times and just forgive all the time, and then love all the time.
14 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, 15 but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15
Here is my message. We Christians must confess our sins to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and in that confession, we will find forgiveness. We should also forgive those who have sinned against us, as our Heavenly Father, God Almighty, will also forgive us.
5 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. Ephesians 5:1
We should be like Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, in love, patience, wisdom, compassion, and faith. We should imitate Him and spread His teachings to the world.
Below is a prayer to help you to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and to start your Christian life.
Dear Lord,
I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that don’t please you. I have lived my life for myself only. I am sorry and repent all my sins. I ask that you forgive me. I believe that you died on the cross for me to save me. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life; I give you my life to you. From this day forward help me to live every day for you and in a way that pleases you. I love you Lord and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you. Amen
Remember:
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
God bless all who read this with His love, light, grace, mercy, and wisdom in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Revelation 22:21
