2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2
This past week I started the book of Revelation also this week I put my dad into hospice also this week I started praying for my youngest sister who has become obsessive and full of anger towards me. It has been a busy week for me.
In regards to my sister, I have speculated that her anger is a result of apprehension and fear of my dad’s terminal illness, which is his cancer that has progressed. Therefore, those feelings are projected towards me because she does not have control of the situation and simply because she is scared of losing my dad as we all are. A lot of praying for forgiveness and strength has now become part of my daily prayer.
Putting my dad into hospice was a decision I had quietly decided upon 2 months ago. Therefore, now I have added guidance, strength and wisdom in my daily prayers note that I wrote prayers as in plural so a lot of praying happens every day for me.
So now, this has become a personal journal instead of a blog for me. The Christian life is never easy but as one of my Christian brothers has told me, “Always lean on Christ Jesus He will always be there for you”. These are great words of wisdom, comfort and reassurance.
I also started reading the book of Revelation my head hurts just thinking about it.
3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near. Revelation 1:3
When I read this scripture and I thought wow I should learn this and teach this to other people and then I remembered all the things that the book of Revelation contained and then I got a headache. When I talk to other Christians about the book of Revelation, I find that everyone has a different interpretation to different segments of the book of Revelation, which is also true for many other segments in the bible. Now I am reminded that what I blog here is simply my interpretation and opinion of what I read in the bible. I do not pretend to understand the book of Revelation completely but there are numerous people that do we just have to do an internet search for them or they could be as close as your own church.
I do know that Christians should read the book of Revelation and see how it speaks to them.
Think of the book of Revelation as the climatic ending of a good book, no pun intended, where everything is explained to you the reader. You get to find out what happens when and to who.
Remember:
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
God bless all that read this with His love, light, grace, mercy, and wisdom. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
