2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2
I had finished reading the book of Revelation and was contemplating its contents when I realized something. Below are two scriptures from the Old Testament.
I will scatter them among the nations, whom neither they nor their fathers have known; and I will send the sword after them until I have annihilated them.” Jeremiah 9:16
And
“For the Lord will strike Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water; and He will uproot Israel from this good land which He gave to their fathers, and will scatter them beyond the Euphrates River, because they have made their Asherim, provoking the Lord to anger. 1 Kings 14:15
Below is a scripture from the book of Revelation.
7 Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wailon account of him. Even so. Amen. 8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:7-8
So in retrospect I realized that the Old Testament was filled of scriptures about the arrival of Christ Jesus and then there are many warnings to the Israelites about turning away from sin or face destruction. There are also many warnings in the book of Revelation about Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior returning. So then both the Old and the New Testaments contain warnings for humankind to turn away from sin and that Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior is coming…I sense a theme here.
Remember:
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
God bless all that read this with His love, light, grace, mercy, and wisdom. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
