the Protestant faith
Faith is an important component to any religion or belief systems many people have faith of varying degrees and of many different doctrines. Some people believe in ghosts and spirits of the dead that roam this world. The bible explains that a person’s soul sleeps after death and will awaken when Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior returns to this world and ghosts and spirits are just demons wondering the world that would lure the weak and fragile people of this world. This could be considered as faith as these people have such strong convictions about such things. There are many people with strong convictions of many different things that could be labeled as faith. Below is a scripture that I also believe.
11 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1
We of the Christian faith have many hopes, now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, and we believe that God has created and done many things in our history and in the world. We of the Christian faith also know that our Heavenly Father God Almighty does exist, the conviction of things not seen, even though we have not seen or touch him we know God exist. There are many people that would argue that God does not exist since God cannot be seen or touched. I am like the people of the Old Testament and would not want to see the face of our Heavenly Father God Almighty that created this world and the universe. Which leads us to the next scripture below;
7 for we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7
We of the Christian faith believe that our Heavenly Father God Almighty does exist even though we cannot see or touch Him…because we have faith.
Here’s a thought. Show me love. Kissing is merely an expression of love so is hugging and holding hands. There are many ways to express love but do we really know what love looks like. Show me love. Is it big or small? Is it rough or smooth? What shape is it? Is it heavy or light? What color is it?
We know love because it dwells within us we cannot explain it we just know that we love. Love can be best described as a feeling that we have for another person and of varying degrees. Love is like God we cannot see it or touch it but we know that it’s there…and now for the scripture bomb.
8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8
