My girlfriend and I have a particular topic to agree to disagree. She likes staying informed about the United States politics with a hint of conspiracy theories. She does this so she knows who to vote for when its time. I on the other hand listen to the news that she watches but Iwant to be “spiritually prepared” and believe that our present day political and social mayhem can be best explained by

And the follow up to that scripture is…
3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. 2Timothy 3
So the evil one is in the world which would be obvious or the world would be a much better place to live in and no world leader or politician should say anything to contrary lest they would be considered part of the evil in this world.
In the scripture from 2Timothy3 when you read the entire paragraph go back to where it reads “There will be terrible times in the last days.”Then read the rest of the scripture again and you will realize like I did that all these things are already happening…“in the last days.”
