2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2
In the past few weeks the world has seen the uprising of hate and anger. Attacks have been made on the people of Israel and they have defended themselves only to be persecuted for defending their people and their country. Conspiracy theories have erupted and numerous speculations have been made that have elicited anger, violence, and hatred. Soon evil will rise and battlefields will be made anger and hatred will fill the lands blood and death will stain the battlefields.
God’s world is supposed to be filled with love and compassion but human kind has chosen evil and our world grows dark.
20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. John 4:20
Simply put if you say you love God but hates someone that you can see then you are a liar because you cannot love God whom you cannot see but hate your brother that you can see.
9 Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. 1 John 2:9
If you believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior but you hate someone or some people then you are not following all of His teachings. The scripture below really shows the love that Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior has for us.34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35
And this is the bible’s definition of love.
4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;[a] 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
I often wondered if God had hopes that human kind would be followers of the Christian faith and Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and find love and peace with each other or do the things that humane kind has always done…kill, war, greed, lie, and hate which is following evil the very things that we have see in recent days around the world and with the war in Israel.
20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20
In the book of Revelation there is a whole chapter that talks about when Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior returns and that we should prepare ourselves for that day. I could care less for the politics of the United States or the world but I do care that I should do everything I can to prepare myself for when Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior returns.
